Actually, it seems they don't have a lot in stock, at least in the UK, they only had a couple of Speedmasters last I checked.
Actually, all their websites share the same stock. There might be one or two watches here and there that are specific to a certain domain, but largely they share the same stock and it’s from the UK.
Recently I was curious how much they would give me for a trade in to put towards another purchase. I was also curious how the whole transaction would work. Being from the states I contacted their US (website) store and they instructed me to send the watch to the NY office. They would then send the watch to the UK for inspection. The watch I would purchase from the US .com store would be shipped to me from the UK meaning it would incur customs fees. I didn’t end up going through with it... but their inventory is the same across the board and it comes from the UK.

I think you are taking this a bit too personally. It's just people's taste.

If you like the sapphire, that's great. Personally my own Speedmaster is acrylic, and I wouldn't want the sapphire version. I have other watches with a mix of sapphire and acrylic crystals, so I am fine with both materials in general. Like it or not, most people don't like the milky ring, and I've been considering ways of getting rid of that effect on the watches that have them...
Hey, Al - I’m new to the forum and really appreciate your perspective and participation. Do you have a sense of why the FOIS and sandwich have the milky ring but another domed sapphire crystal, say, on the new Bond Seamaster, there’s no milky ring at all? Does it have to do with the specific shape of the Speedy crystal? I ended up choosing the Pro over the FOIS because of the milky ring!

My guess is the way the crystal is retained. The speedy the sapphire was made to fit with minor modifications. The sea masters where designed from the start with sapphire in mind. Few watches with sapphire have a milky ring. It’s either designed around or the rehaut is made to hide it.

This is the warmth only the hesalite can create.

Are you talking about the heat created by the friction of having to use polywatch?😝
