Summertime scaffolding is in full effect in stink town, and I'm hyper-aware of these nasty wrist-high rusted screws as I make my way down the sidewalk. My precious....

Who else walks in a strange manner, with your watch hand safely secured behind and chrystal side turned towards your back when wearing a vintage treasure? 😀

Awhile back someone mentioned USN personnel wearing a watch with crystal side on the underside of the wrist. Since hatchways are fairly narrow this could be one reason.
Another might be that when scanning with binoculars it would make it easier to quickly glance at the time without changing your grip quite as much.
