Hi all,

I am really wanting to purchase a Seamaster, and this one sorta jumped out at me. The one I'm looking at doesn't have an original band, and the seller isn't aware of the service history but notes its running fine. It's a manual wind movement. It's going for around 750 CAD.

I was wondering your thoughts on the reference, and what you could tell me that a layperson might not be aware of, and if the price is worth it.

Cheers as always!

Whoever relumed this was really generous.

And I wouldn’t expect SS hands on a gold (whatever variation of solid, capped, plated, doesn’t matter) watch.

Dial damage near the 4 marker?

Gold-plating has completely worn off of the crown.

I’d pass. It’s not a particularly expensive ref and these can be picked up with nicer overall conditions for that money.

Agree with MTV. $750 $C will buy a better Seamaster. Don’t wait forever, though, prices are rising.
