    Hi all,

First off - been enjoying this site and the expert help for a long time, so thanks to everyone involved!

Looking at purchasing this old Seamaster. I have seen a few variations like this, with the red hand. And the dial seems correct, but the lighter areas around the markers are concerning me, as well as the presence of lume dots (although they match the hands) on the outside of the 12, 3, 6, and 9. Thoughts? Redial? Thanks in advance!

I think everything but the crown looks correct (I don't know about the second's hand, but realise that there are precedents!). The lume dots are okay as are the lighter areas around the numerals, which is seen pretty often.

How big is the watch? I may be off, but I have a feeling that it is a mid-size version.

Thank you! Yeah, it does appear to be a 32mm, which I'm okay with. The crown concerned me as well, although the correct shape as others I've seen... Just messaged about your watch!

It can possibly be a partial redial the reason i say that is look at the r at the end of seamaster the seamaster posted by efauser the r on the seamster seems to have more of a downward loop when compared to the other.

I don't think it is a redial (although it's hard to tell from the photo). You need to take into consideration the various ways Seamaster was written. You're comparing a coat hanger S to a rounded "S" in, @ConElPueblo's example.

Agreed, but who knows if that time period of production the dials were done by hand or by various printing methods like they do now. So slight variations are possible.

Thanks for the help all. Very happy to say I’ll be purchasing another Seamaster... with great patina!
