Dear all. Hereby selling a pretty special looking Omega Seamaster ref. 2848 cal. 491 from circa 1955. While the watch started out with a silver dial, time has been kind to it and turned it a fetching shade of sunburnt orange-brown. A great match with the clear, gold-coloured indices and hands. The case is in reasonable condition, polished, but still with visible facets. The only remotely prominent marks are on the lower left lug, on the back of the upper left lug and a finally a ding on the caseback. The crown is the correct cloverleaf type and the crystal is unsigned, but new. The watch has been serviced by an amateur watchmaker and is ready for use - I did, however, manage to ruin the caseback gasket when photoing so this will need to be replaced The Seamaster measures 34mm in diameter and takes a 18mm band. The alligator band on the pictures comes along the watch, if the buyer wishes so. I would like to see €570 for this striking Seamaster, PP included.
