OP please reinstate the photos. Old threads become learning opportunities for others seeking info on the same reference in the future.
With OP's behavior so far he is not about to reinstate the photos, he has gone to ground and we won't hear from him again until the next time he wants advice.

If I had to guess, the OPie is scared that the more collecting gremlins see the watch, the more likely it is that someone buys it before he can finish his haggling.
Or he didn't want the seller of the watch to be aware that he was questioning its originality, condition and asking price.

Or the seller is barking at him for posting the pics. Or he’s paranoid about social media. Regardless, his behavior is unfortunate. Another fly by.

His behaviour probably drew more attention to this than it would normally have ...

IMO, allowing them to delete their photos makes this forum that much less useful/informative[0]. I tried to explain it as politely as I could: The knowledge/answers he received were ONLY because the rest of us(y'all!) have the extensive experience from seeing these threads, and being able to search through these from past questions, so you leave them up so that they can help others.

BUT apparently OP is a 'taker', and we should remember that next time they ask for advice.

[0]: WONDER if this is a config we should change...

Honestly, one of my biggest pet peeves here is folks that treat the helpfulness of this group as a resource to take advantage of. Most here help out of the goodness of their heart to encourage more folks to join the group/cherish their watches/etc. BUT we also get folks like OP who come along and feel entitled to said help, and don't want to do the BARE minimum to give back to the community (in this case... NOT deleting the photos?).

I spent a while helping out folks posting about their vintage things, and spent a LOT of time looking at old redial photos/etc to help, but after seeing a couple of ungrateful/entitled folks, I help out way less now.

I go back and forth on this one. I go in spurts where I am more helpful sometimes than others. I felt "generous" (lol) on this one and did the combo give answers and info on how to fish yourself.
But I again learned why I sometimes make them fish for themselves, with the OP's reply when I answered his question pretty straightforward:
Thank you, as time is a factor, I reached out for help. I appreciate the info on the bezel and hands though
"as time is a factor" .... well my response was 4 hours after the OP and you can find answers in less time than that. It wasn't a time issue it was an effort issue.

I reported the photo deletion to the mods. Sometimes they can restore them.
