Help with Seamaster de Ville - running too fast

I have this old Seamaster De Ville, but it has been running fast for the past few months, about 5 mins too fast per hour. Does anyone have a clue what could cause this? I haven't serviced it in several years, so I guess it's time for a check-up...

Exactly that. It’s more than likely just in need of a service. There’s also the possibility that it could be magnetised but unless you’ve had it serviced in the last 3-5 years it’s almost certainly due anyway n

A service is probably due, but when a watch is running THAT fast, it's often either magnetized, or coils of the hairspring are sticking together because of some oil/debris.
