Hi everyone,
I am new to the vintage rolex world and thought of picking something to myself but not sure about authenticity. I could use some expert opinion on this one:
rolex datejust 36mm 1601
also: what questions to ask for / things to look for?
Looks like a 1601 dial, not 16013. What is the serial, case-back engraving, clasp code, etc? Does it have a quickset date?
thanks a lot for pointing that out. I will be sure to ask these questions and do my work before picking it up, however, how do you feel about the pics (dial and bracelet)?

I'm not seeing any obvious issues. The bracelet looks to have substantial stretch, but that's not uncommon.

I've also noticed a lot of the TT jubilees have a lot of stretch. What's your take on this, why is it so common? Material issue? Owners of this watch could be generalized as particularly hard on these watches?
Check the font on the date wheel, and check that the reference number on the case reads 1601. and with case back removed should also read 1601 on the inside of the case back, although I have seen 1600 on the case back also.
