The IWCs of the 50s have a timeless, elegant presence. You will be on the receiving end of many compliments.

Thank you for your post.

Can i have them both? :'(

I'm most likely going to return it when I get it in hand.

Where can one find a good example!?

I think returning it is a good call. I think the fact that all the dot markers are missing plus the "Swiss Made" makes me think the dial has been messed with. The hour and minute hands are correct. The seconds hand is definitely too short. Sometimes this can mean it is a replacement, other times a less than careful watchmaker could have accidentally broken off the thin tip.

That's my baby 馃榾

apart from that the dial looks like it had acne... in addition several dots of the hour markers are doubled (1, 3, 5, 7)

I just bought my first IWC. It's the cal 8531 pie pan. Can anyone tell me more about this watch other then the info on the web? I know the same watch was sold on this forum in 2013. What is exactly the difference between this one and a Ingenieur from the beginning of the 60's? Just a dial and case difference? They had the same caliber. Thanks guys!
