Hello,

Got these 2 as part of a bulk lot and really love the dials, are they anything special? Can anyone offer some insight to what they might be or if they are worth keeping?

Both unusual dials and in good condition. Nice "ribbon" dial and a nice "linen" dial both with coat hanger "S" Seamaster.
Have them opened and show us decent clear photos of the movements and inside of the caseback and it will reveal all.
Based on those pics, certainly worth keeping.

I'll open them up tonight and share

The gold plated one opens crystal side and I'm not game to do it as I am clumsy as hell 🤣

Those dials are nice, ribbon and linen. With the information from the inside you can identify the references and production years easily.

I tried the Omega lookup tools and couldn't find anything 🤣

I don't know what you're referring to, but if you have any specific questions, go ahead and ask.

Thanks Dan, I'd love to know the scarcity of this dial/ model combination and an approximate value?

They are both very nice and appear in good condition. The dials are less common, but not rare. I would estimate value at $800-1000 each

Read the thread suggested by @Davidt above
And this one also for Special dials you will find some cousins there.

Omega made lots of unusual textured dials at this time. So while each specific type of textured dial is quite uncommon there are lots of variations so it’s reasonably easy to find a good textured dial in one of the various styles. As a result they add only a minor premium to a standard dial. Probably 0-20%

These are not rare watches by my standards, but certainly less common than a stereotypical silver sunburst design. Some people seek them out, while others prefer a more classic look. Overall, a special dial does generally add a modest premium, as noted above. I think they are nice watches, particularly the no-lume ribbon dial 2846. I would probably recommend holding onto that one if you like it.
