That you all for the help!!

And what a stunning watch Petervl! Thanks for the pictures.

I decided to pull the trigger and purchase the watch. Hopefully it will come a bit closer to the condition of your watch Petervl after a service. No movement pictures were provided, so fingers crossed!

Will post pictures once it is in my possession and after it has been serviced.

Thanks for your kind Words! Gratulation to your purchase! I am sure the watch will come out much nicer after a service and a change of the crown to a correct one for the 2505 reference

Looks like a 2505-29
I think you're getting a little specific calling out the reference number as a (-29). There's no doubt it's a 2505, but....
There were many many variations of the 2505 from the 40's to the 50's, this dial definitely looks more like a 50's dial but the dials were traded across sub- references from what I've seen.
Regarding the case, these are very difficult to see how much polish has been done because of their melted looking lugs.
I think the case looks fine on this, but hard to tell from the one picture.

So watch is now in my possession again after a very long stint at my watch maker. I’ve been wearing the watch for a couple of days now and love it. Thank you to the ones that helped me with getting my first Omega.

Actually, something weird happened in my brain after this purchase. I am now finding myself constantly checking OF and I’m already 2 more Omegas in. 😵‍💫

I haven’t been able to find time to create the elaborate series of photos of the watch, so you’ll have to make due with these two.

The watch is a 2505 which everyone agreed upon. The version was a -20 with a 265 movement.

Your watch is very nice!
But your watchmaker serviced the movement and did not clean the case? 😲

Yes, that struck me as well. This was my first mechanical watch and therefore my first trip to a watchmaker. He came recommended but I won’t be going back - the cleaning not being the only reason!

Thank you! The dial is definitely not in the 3xC category. It has a bit of light greenish mouldiness going on to the one side, but it’s quite charming none the less.

One of them is still in transit, but I’ll share once it arrives. The other one is a wonderful 30T2. I work in tech where everything is ever changing and nothing last more than a couple of years. Therefore I find it very gratifying and grounding to carry around something that is 70-80 years old.
