Heck. Here are some more photos

Congrats on the purchase. Looks to be in really good condition.

Would love to see a picture of the case back when you get a chance.

Thank you! it is still quite sharp... don't know if its been refinished.. but seems alright to me 😀 here's a photo of the caseback... some of the stars have worn down a bit

Lovely 198.002, congrats. I do like this model:

Yours is in very good shape too! ... These 198.002 watches do wear very nicely still. their 38mm size hides its age... I wouldn't imagine a watch like ours is 40 odd years old!

Thank you much. I’m quite smitten by it too! I thought the dial rather different. Has a 70’s disco look or something.

I thought the same thing when I purchased mine.

Couldn't resist a side to side comparison with my gold plated 198.002

Thanks for the side by side... yours was the model that really got me started.... an F300hz with a 'modern' looking case... Whilst I initially promised myself 'No more vintage things', i just couldn't resist this... it immediately ticked two boxes... a tuning fork movement which I have always been fascinated by and a gold watch.... Whilst initially i was quite happy to pull the trigger on one like yours in gold plating (which I actually did but didn't work out as the watch went missing... thank you UK GSP) in my second try, i 'convinced' myself that this will be the first and last vintage / gold piece i'd buy, i figured i should go the full monty and go 18K solid. ..... Guess what.... I've now got the solid gold IWC electronic on my watch list!

You've got a really nice sharp case there... It was the prevalence of your dial design that got me starting this thread... I wasn't very confident if my piece was the real deal... for starters, the hands on F300hz were usually like yours with a bit of lume... hadn't really seen a full black on... (and later I found similar hands in Omega's catalogue on some electronic models.) and i'd also not really seen these gold blocks as hour markers too... though it does reference a similar aged steel Seamaster dial design... anyway, all that is behind me now 😀

I've added some more photos for some more 198.002 p*rn
