Hello OF

I have this Omega Genève - cursive with arrowhead markers.

The ref. number is 14724-2 SC.

I have no doubt that the watch is genuine, but I’m not sure if the dial is a redone. I think the font in cursive is a little big - but I’m not sure.

Can anybody help to check out the dial for me?

Thanks in advance.

Jakob

It looks OK to me.
The vertical cross-hair intersect the "n" in Genève at the right point.
The vertical location of Genève is at the correct level (a line between 21 minutes past and 21 minutes to).

Help Identifying This Vintage Omega Genève

Hello, watch fans!

I’m hoping to get your expertise in identifying this watch, which I’m currently having serviced.
The closest reference I’ve been able to find is the Omega Genève 14724, but I haven’t been able to find another example with the 6, 9, and 12 Arabic numerals like this one. I also haven’t found any examples with a red-tipped seconds hand, which makes me wonder whether the hand is original or may have been replaced at some point.

I’d really appreciate your thoughts on:

- The correct reference/model identification

- Whether this particular dial configuration is known for the 14724

- Whether you’ve ever seen an Omega with this red-tipped seconds hand, and whether it could be original

The watch has a lot of sentimental value to me, so I’d like to restore it as close to its original configuration as possible rather than replacing parts based on assumptions.

Any information, period catalogs, photographs, or examples you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!

You’d be better starting your own thread.

Better pictures are also needed but the red hand isn’t original
