Help with date change...

Hello everyone.
I write again looking for some help.

Recently, after a year of searching, my watchmaker can find the necessary spare part and we recover this piece:

This is a Seamaster CD 166.0032 from 1968, Caliber 752. It works very well after service with less than +4 seconds per day (in horizontal position).

But I'm not sure about the date change. I can change the day by pulling the crown, but to change the day of the week... I need turn hands until I reach the correct day. That's fine? It's the only way?

As usual I will appreciate your help and any comment about this watch.

Thanks.

It sounds good. As long as you can change it I would be happy. If there is supposed to be another way to change it one of the experts will chime in. Nice looking watch though.

Have you tried setting the time to 2:00 and then back to 10:00? You repeat that until the day of the week is right. Always from 10-2 and back.
But you have to keep in mind that the time is 22:00-02:00 and not 10:00-14:00. After that you can set the date by pulling the crown.
I am curious about your feedback.

I just did it and it changes the day of the week but when I return at 10:00 it also returns the day of the week, however the day does change.

Wooooo That was fast! Thanks a lot, now Im sure about my watch functions. And the most important is the "blocked for safety".

Thanks a lot. 👍
