At least you are looking for a crown. There are lots of crowns in this world, real and fake.

I have a 501 I restored without a case. Collected several more and some 470 parts. Really easy to keep getting more and more parts, Now if only there were more inexpensive legitiamate cases.

Yea this is the watch in question

I can’t find any information on this case at all
Watch was in non working condition when purchased but balance wheel was moving freely good sign but the escape wheel wasn’t turning I’m only a complete amateur so I don’t really want to try and strip the watch completely but I did remove the dial and noticed that the setting spring has snapped was and lodged against the gear underneath the dial after picking it out it jumped into life I’ve purchased this part a new stem and now looking for a clover style crown which I believe this should have. This was definitely the most expensive one I’ve purchased so far as non working but this old strap caught my eye and made me spend a little more
If anyone knows the id on this strap would be much appreciate

Flatlink bracelet from that era could be a 7912 or 7077 maybe. That would be the main reason to buy that lot. The watch can obviously be brought back to life but it’s a bit tired and not anything special IMO. No harm in taking it on as a project though.

Yea Thankyou . I did mainly purchase it for the strap but the movement and dial was in good untouched condition until now hahahah but it’s just a setting spring lever crown and stem which I knew about and the back cover that needs a gasket possibly glass but I may just get it up and running and sell and put that stamp on another watch I have in my collection.

If you are looking for info online you need to search under bracelet. Not strap. Bracelet is the correct term. Look on the whole clasp and blades and endlinks for other numbers. I only see the date code in your photo

Also, the 3878 is a Dennison case number. Not an Omega reference. Just FYI. The watch was cased in the UK.

The bracelet has no other numbers on it ? it’s like elastic Also near the buckle end. The endlinks have number 4 on them.

Yes, I can see that it’s an expandable flatlink, I gave you some numbers to research. You can also try 1035. #4 is the 18mm endlink. The 19mm endlinks that allow these bracelets to be used with straight lug Seamaster 300s and Speedmasters are very expensive and hard to find.

Bracelet looks like a 7912. It’s not unheard of for them to not have a reference number on the clasp

Yea I think you’re correct. have had a little look online and this looks the closest to what I have. And are listed for around a thousand pounds ? Is this what they go for our have they just been listed higher because they are rare ?

Depends on length, condition of the stretch and fixed links etc and particularly which Endlinks they have. Considerably more valuable with no.6 endlink

Ah okay Thankyou .this one is actually very long but also very dirty in the links it feels very strong and tight on the strech so I believe it’s not worn much. How could I clean this would it be safe to put in an ultrasonic cleaner?

I use an ultrasonic for my flat links and BoR bracelets. Often they need to be left overnight and blasted for a good while to get all the dirt and grime out from between the links
