Hi guys, i'm looking to purchase my first vintage watch and i recently bumped into this seamaster deville 1969 cal 563. As far as i know cal 563 has 17 jewels which this one seems to be legit. I was wondering if this watch is legit and worth the $800.
At the bottom of the dial, it has the T swiss made T, i tried to look up some of the same model and some has it, some don't so i am some what confused
And for future reference, where should i look to inspect a vintage omega?.

Thanks in advance

The case has been somewhat abused. You can see that someone took a US Collection case that had 11/16" lugs and bent the lugs out to fit an 18mm strap. Otherwise it's not too bad. It's perhaps a bit overpriced.

In my opinion, the lug issue makes it a definite "no". Those parts aren't meant to be bent like that, and bending them back will compromise the integrity of the case.

I'd keep looking.

Thank you for responding. It might be the angle of the picture that make it look somewhat bended. If i remember correctly, it looks perfectly straight in person. If i can bargain the price on this one, how much do you think its worth?

Nothing to me, because I dislike this style of stick lugs and stick hands. 馃榾

What it's worth is what you're willing to pay for it. Look at sold listings on eBay for similar watches and see what they went for. That'll give you a baseline.

The only thing this one has going for it is a nice dial and movement. Case is beat to shit including heavy wear on the edges of the lugs.

The dial is beautiful, but as everyone said, the case is good for the trash. Try to avoid gold plated and gold filled, focus on stainless steel and pure gold.
