Thank you, I’m not sure on how to get the back of the watch off, I am scared I might damage it. I’m new to this! My dad was a watch and pocket watch collector. A few watches and pocket watches I have do have papers and the boxes with them but this one was just in a red box without papers. I will try and get the back off and post some more pictures.

 

If you don't have the experience and tools to remove the back, it's best left to a watchmaker.

according to your photos the reference is 77810. It’s a watch for woman, dating somewhere around the 1960s.

I have been trying to find a similar one online just to see what the history of it is and also to see what kind of value it holds x

 

Movements shipped to the UK and cased by Dennison, so finding a match depends on how long Dennison used that case design

9kt gold was only used in commonwealth countries UK, NZ, Aus. Other countries don't recognize 9kt as genuine gold (10kt is the minimum)

Solid lugs so you will need a open strap if you want to wear it. Can order one through a Hirsch retailer

Paint all gone from the dial, so need the dial redone

If you don't want to wear it.

Just tuck it away. More value in who owned it rather than what you could sell it for

From the movement serial number, it looks to have been made circa 1958. The watch would have been assembled in the UK sometime after that, so late 50s or early 60s would be about right.
