It's an ultrathin model with Cal 1003 which was developed in the late '40's/early 50's, JLC had a hand in its development. Very high quality movement, 1.64mm thick, 31 hr power reserve, also used by Audemars Piguet and a few other top houses over the years. VC still has a model that uses this movement in their catalogue. The case is around 31mm and it looks like it could have been produced in the 60's although this style of watch changed little over the years, it's a classic men's high end ultrathin dress watch. The one pictured has had a hard life for a dress watch, case looks well used, and dial has some issues. It's worth getting fixed up but it won't be cheap, not everyone can work on these ultrathin calibers. You can do some searching on Chrono24 to get some idea of pricing of good examples.
