Dear members
I got this very nice patined Omega from my grandfather
I guess it comes from the 1950/1960

Would you help me to identify the model ?
Diameter is 33mm
Thickness 11mm
From what i can see movement is automtic caliber 591 with 20 jewels

looks like a seamaster without waterproofing
Kind regards

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Nice heirloom you got there. Based on the serial number, the watch movement seems to be dated from 1959/1960 rather than the 40s.

To me, it looks similar to Seamaster model from the early 1960's ref. 14704 but I'm sure other experts from here can provide more information.

I think the JP indicates that this is a French-cased Omega. So it will probably not correspond to one the typical model lines like Seamaster, or have one of the standard Omega reference numbers.

Yup, French case maker and the watch is solid gold.
