Help: Scratched Sapphire Crystal

Sorry if this is the wrong part of the forum but I’m looking for some advice regarding my Omega. I bough this watch a few years ago and have worn it pretty much everywhere and doing everything. Unfortunately I’ve been left with a load of small but noticeable scratches on the crystal. I did ask about this on reddit maybe a year ago or something but it was suggested that it was maybe just the outer layer of AR coating that was scratched? I can feel the scratches ever so slightly if I ruin my fingernail on them so I’m pretty sure they are on the crystal itself.

Anyway I’m considering parting with the watch but obviously I’d like it to be in top condition so that I can get a decent price for the watch as these take a huge hit on the secondary market in the first place without any issues. Even if I decide to keep the watch though, it would bug me less if it could be fixed without significantly de-valuing the watch.

Should I send it away for a service? Do something else?

Thanks in advance for any help!

It's probably just scratches in the AR coating rather than the sapphire. It should be relatively easy to polish off the AR coating

Find an independent shop with an Omega parts account, and see if they will replace the crystal and “deluxe” the case, would be my suggestion. Omega will want you to takeout a second mortgage or sacrifice an (ahem) body part if you send it to them.

That’s a beautiful watch. The blue is fantastic. I agree with above references, that should polish out. Wow, I’d not sell a watch over something so insignificant, but that’s just me.

Gorgeous watch. I have to believe those scratches are only in the AR as well. Personally, I'd forget about it, but if you can't a decent watchmaker should be able to buff it out. If you're a DIYer, Polywatch would do it...
