If you haven't contacted Omega in Bienne CH, that is your first stop. They might well have a brand-new movement waiting just for you!

This seems to be one of those gambles, that has yet to have a happy end for me. So far, I've lost round one.

I found this 1333 Connie in the local classifieds for around 150 USD and figured that even in the worst case scenario, the parts should be worth that.
But of course, this was never about financially responsible decisions. Those are just the fairy-tales I tell myself to justify the compulsive behavior. Of course, I cannot help myself and want to see it running, so I asked a certified Omega service for an estimate and they wrote:
- Oxidation in the movement
- contact damaged, maybe el. block as well
- Service, seals + el. block = 500 EUR ๐Ÿคฆ
This is my first quartz endeavor, so I have no idea what they are telling me.

Anyways, despite it being quartz, I love the dial, so I will rather be on the lookout for a movement or a donor watch, than going the Omega service route, it seems. Too bad, I'd prefer to give Omega some reasonable amount, rather than feeding some ebay watch butcher. ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

PS: Oh, and tonight, I bought a non-runner f300, because I enjoy being kicked in the b**** so much. ๐Ÿ˜

Did you ever find a suitable replacement and get this running along with the F300?

Funny you would ask. I just visited my watchmaker this week and like Columbo, while leaving, I remembered that there was something else.
I actually happened to find a doner soon after with a shot dial and both have been with my watchmaker since 05/22 it seems. To my question, he reached to a drawer with a box where both watches were in a half disassembled state and noted "I will get to them soon..". ๐Ÿ˜Ž
I guess that I had reminded him of it and maybe it will be soon done.

As to the 300f, I passed when I saw it, wised up and bought a better one. I realized however, that I strongly prefer the f300 diver, so it doesn't get enough attention.

Ah right, nice one!

See the issue for me here would be the one with the beat dial, I would now be on the look out for a good dial and making that a complete watch again and back on the look for a donor movement โ€โ™‚๏ธ

The good thing is, that there is really just the movement and maybe hands, crown, stem (future spare parts) usable on the watch. Look at that case... ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

Dear Omega-ists.

On a slight tangent - does anyone know the correct replacement battery for a Cal 1333?
