Hello OF members!

I have no idea how I can remove the 175 end links from an 1171 omega bracelet!

Any help will be highly appreciated if it’s easy for a non expert like me to remove! Or else I will visit a watchmaker!

Thanks in advance

I'm afraid a watchmaker isn't going to have an easy time either. The end links are folded in place and will need to be pried open to be removed.

Even then you’ll be missing a middle link. You’ll need to remove the two outer pieces of the last link as well to use a pair of tradition Endlinks.

Getting creative, one could kill two birds with one stone.

A cutoff wheel on a Dremel or flex-shaft tool could be used along with plenty of protective tape to cut the ends off the existing end-links.

Easier done in Photoshop, but with a little patience it's certainly doable.

Interesting post, when did Omega change the style to remove the endlinks without damage? If a Dremel was used, I am assuming the endlinks couldn't be used again?

You are correct. However X350 XJR's method provides a usable center link for a more traditional head link to mount. It also preserves the width of the top link to end link fit as no more need to remove a partial link. Each of those top links are tapered. 👍
