I guess not surprising that current "UG" staff cannot spot redials?

Here is a relevant thread regarding the (indeed, very rare) dodicione: https://omegaforums.net/threads/another-original-ug-dial-design.56120/#post-691093

hard to believe anyone would dare to redial a dodicione....
Thank you for the link @LouS. Well, I guess I have my answer although anyone who could have told me about the watch (or the redial) has left this mortal plane.

I do have a photo (below) of the back of the dial, can anything be learned from that?

Is a dial made by Singer, as it should

And don't put too much hope in UG informations, they know very little (or nothing) about their past productions

It's a really nice looking watch but obviously a redial.

Lack of "Compax", wrong universal geneve fonts, rounded 3, not centered sudials, undocumented dial ...

However, this dial was originally a "dodicionne" as the dial texture include the circle at 12 ...

I vote for late damaged redial...

So you have long and short term options:

1) finish the repair and wear this lovely watch. (ST)
2) begin a search for a proper dial (LT) ... won’t be cheap. Wouldn’t surprise me if someone out there is sitting on one. I suspect they are looking for what you have though.

Option 3 (LT) just occurred to me...

Have a proper dial restoration done!

I believe this dial was made by Stern Freres, not Singer.

Yes if you could get a really high quality redial that might be most realistic. Has digital entered the world of dial printing yet?

I think, were this mine ...That is what I'd do vs expose myself to extortion by the UG parts cartel.

I think that I'll (at least) look into restoring the dial...
merchandiser: is there a tachymeter scale on the outer edge of that dial (that we just can't see)?

Dave, I'm not sure anyone has the correct pattern for that dial, or even a better one that you have. If you find someone, I would be very interested to know the details.
