Could you guide me on how I should go about dealing with these desk dive streaks on the clasp of my 3573.50 Speedy? I don't think I should buff or polish them off, but rather go to a Omega/Swatch watch smith and order a new clasp? Whatsay? 1.jpg

Looks like a fiberglass scratch remover pencil would solve the problem.

I wouldn't spend the money on a new one. If you're going to wear it regularly, the odds are good that a new one will do the same.

How does the fiberglass scratch remover pencil work? No clue. Google/YouTube-ing it out right now. Superb help! Thank you OF. I've also read about jeweler's polishing cloth or Scotchbrite being used - is that recommended. Intuitively I would not trust Scotchbrite.

    No Scotch. It's too rough.

    Fiberglass works fine.

I recommend using something to remove the deep scratches more like a rubber sanding block, and going over the clasp cover with a Scotchbrite pad after the deep flaws are smoothed over. Professional shops use several grits of abrasive and a "satin wheel" to get the final finish.
A clasp would be overkill at this point!
