Haha. OP hasn’t disappeared, just on a family trip and not online past day or so. This is all really helpful commentary and I appreciate you guys taking the time. Feels like the search continues.

There’s a pretty amazing looking 105.012-66 in the private sales section that I’m surprised hasn’t been snatched up.

Although others have said before me, look at the OF private sales thread. Hard pass for me at $10K.

Well spotted. Too fat. Agree!

I've seen quite a bit of debate on the forum regarding DON bezel font thickness (I love these tiny details). Based on my travels, both are correct and acceptable DON bezels and both can be equally beautiful in their own right. I've see stunning DON examples with thicker/bolder (albeit not fuzzy) fonts. We can only theorize as to how these DON bezel variances arose - different manufacturers, variances in viscosity of paint during application, degrading over time, worn presses etc.etc.etc., I mean, this was Omega, not NASA, manufacturing these bezels so tolerances are a real consideration. We also see these font variances in Rolex bezels during this same time period for what it's worth.

All that to say, thicker font doesn't mean the OPs DON bezel isn't a winner - it' just a matter of personal taste. That bezel doesn't seem to have a chip on dent on it - something that is pretty rare in it's own right these days.

Good call passing on this one OP given the photos provided!
