I’m looking purchase a similar one but before dropping $1,750, I’m looking for thought on the quality and authenticity of this item. Can anyone help?

The dial is a later service dial. The Omega logo should be printed and the hour markers should be solid gold ones. The minute hand is to short and doesn’t reach the minute markers.
Not worth it at all, pass.

By the way, I think the watch you lost is a ref. 2581 and not a 2374...
