Getting ready to restore a nice Speedmaster 125, shown as found. Needs a new crystal/integrated bezel. I have original Omega part CRY #2879 in my stock, which looks like the right part for this watch. However, I cannot find a definitive reference to be sure. Anyone know?

The watch has double reference 378.0801 and 178.0002. Pretty melty caseback gasket replacement needed too! Same question on the part number? If you have one, I'll buy it.

Just getting up to "speed" on these 125's, so any general info also appreciated. Long-time Omega collector and owner of many other Speedmasters, but this is the first 125 I've ever had. Thanks in advance, Bill

Hello Achim, long time! Seabass23 yes, thank you. I've studied the part carefully against that site's excellent reference examples. All looks correct. Including the open shape of the C and the short center of the M. The old stock bezel has a rubber gasket around the edge, which has a bevel in the glass for the gasket to fit into. That was one element of the part I could not match to anything online. But I think what I have must be the correct part. What luck. Thanks!

The crystal/bezel part I had turned out to be the wrong one. Has anybody seen these for sale anywhere?

    What about this one:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OMEGA-...=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

The part number is OME-TN5237 which is listed for the Speedmaster Mark IV but I trust TM Watch. If he says it will work I wouldn’t doubt it, you might to check the font type and compare it with yours and see if they look close enough for your liking.

    Good luck

I appreciate your note. I did see that option. The fonts are a bit different but it may be a good solution. One of my watchmakers sourced one today, so we'll compare when it arrives and see which is best. Thank you.

I would just polish the existing glass, it's possible , time consuming but mine came out looking really good.
Seen someone struggle to fit a glass wouldn't fit too tight a sueeze
