Hey guys! just joined the community, hope you guys can help. found two very nice omegas but there is so little information on these online. Do you think they are worth it?

Pre - semaster with subdial price $445
(similar to this one https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-cal-344-no-reference-caseback-opinion.114973/#post-1524966
Seamaster 2635 price $318
(similar to the one posted here https://omegaforums.net/threads/early-omega-seamaster-bumper-2635.71210/ and here https://omegaforums.net/threads/original-1952-bumper-advice-needed.79505/#post-1014720)

Any thoughts are really appreciated. i think this are kinda rare, but just reaching out to the experts in this addicting hobby.

I don’t think that first watch, the 2402, is any kind of Seamaster model, it doesn’t look water resistant and by the time that serial was in use circa 1953-4 Seamasters were clearly marked as such. Pre-Seamaster is a term usually used for some waterproof Omega models made 1945-48.

Both watches look pretty original but both look dirty so factor in the cost of a service. I’d take the second ie the Seamaster out of those 2 but neither are massively rare. The prices are about right considering they maybe need work. Be aware that both are pretty small at around 33mm. There are bumpers from the era in (slightly) larger sizes.

Hello! thank you for your response. yeah, the first one wasn't described as a pre-seamaster (or seamaster) but i kinda assumed it would be from looking at a lot of different dials from around the time but it has been a little bit tricky to find info on that one. Even thought for a sec that the dial had been redone. thank you for your advice!. I am also leaning more towards the seamaster 😀
