HELP on a seiko 6117-8000

Hi OF members!

Iam desperate and angry with my watchmaker.

He "ruined" my seiko 6117-8000 navigator which WAS in a very good condition.
He let his father (80 years old watchmaker) do his job and fix a problem with the hour hand which was not properly placed in its axis after a regular service and he damaged (scratched) the dial and he bent the red GMT hand sad.png

Anyone here that has a replacement grey sunburst dial and a red GMT hand with no defects???

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

I couldnt sleep last night 馃檨

Your best chance for finding those parts is the Philippines-the vintage Seiko capitol. Get on Ebay, search out active vintage Seiko sellers in the Philippines and see if any have what you need.

So sorry.... janice&fred offer excellent advice. I'd also consider posting a WTB on a Seiko Forum and contact sellers in Thailand and the Philippines by email as well, you can use the contact feature on their eBay auction page.

Here's one listed currently on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/vintage-V-...504254?hash=item2171ffb53e:g:gscAAOSwZDxeNNse

Sell one to get some of the funds back, or use the parts on your watch if it's in better condition and sell the other.

that one has issues and is over priced. Specifically the bezel is all wrong and not original. At that point I stop looking.

Thanks a lot. but i have to agree with @Foo2rama . this has many issues and maybe more in its mechanism. Even GMT arrow is repainted.

I will keep searching.... 馃檨

I had an almost perfect watch (only few light scratches on bezel) and now i have a garbage

I wish you all the best with the search, that's definitely the nightmare-scenario when giving a watch to the watchmaker. May I be curious how he handled the situation?

Thanks Foo as I am definitely not the expert on this model. It was more the idea to find another watch, mix and match and sell the one you don鈥檛 want as it may be more difficult finding parts... just a thought.
Appreciate your knowledge
