    Dear all,
I’m looking at this vintage Longines, I love the arrows ( sub seconds seems a replacement) and the dial . It’s difficult to guess about the watch as I just got one picture , I’ll share some more if I’m lucky. What are your thoughts?
    Thanks

Not an expert and maybe it's just the picture itself but the Longines writing looks off to me.
The I looks too far from the N and the G also looks wrong to me.

Thanks, it’s very difficult with such a poor picture quality to see if that’s a degradation of the dial or it’s a redial. The seller didn’t get back to me yet as I requested more pictures

My thoughts are to keep your cash in your pocket until you get a lot more pictures, in focus and properly lit. Then post those here. Longines were commonly redialed back in the day (as were many marques) and collectors avoid them.

Sure I’ll wait for better pictures but the chance of getting the watch are very low, I’ll keep you posted

From what I can see - the dial is at least partially redialed.

Let's look at the subdial: The edges are muted, the inking seems wrong and too small - and the surface is flat, rather than ribbed.

The second hand is a replacement, as well, I think.

Thanos, about the hour hand, what’s the name of this type of hands? I really love them

I have seen them commonly referred to as Pontiffe, see this thread for some variations by Omega. https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-30t2-advice.65330/

For my money, I would stay away from this Longines, subseccond at very least looks re-dialed

I agree... and a shame not more prevalent with modern watches.

Another vote to stay away due to dial at least partly refinished. I would even venture to say it's entirely refinished due to the appearance of teh Longines logo.

Refinished for sure. If you like it have it refinished professionally and be happy, but it wont be original, if it matters to you. Buy low, sell high

Do your homework, know what you’re looking for, and you can find deals.
