Hey, I don鈥檛 care much if it鈥檚 18k or 14k馃槈 It was a bargain and my research proved me (partly) right. All thanks to the OF馃憤

If this question is with respect to the manufacturing date, the 1953 date is based on the 13.7M movement serial. I don't find case markings to be particularly helpful for dating Omega watches from this era.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking, but I think the watch is fine, i.e. I have no reason to believe that the movement was re-cased. If you really want more detailed information, you will have to pay for an Extract from the Omega archives, but I don't really see much upside.
