Help needed for 40th Birthday gift

Hi guys,

This is my first post after spending several hours reading through many past posts and trawling the net for information and I'm hoping you can help me to make the right decision on my wife's rapidly approaching 40th birthday.

Back in 2015 she brought me my first and only (too date) vintage Omega watch from this very forum(https://omegaforums.net/threads/sold-seamaster-cal-600.32504/) and I think it's time a returned the favour.

I've been checking the for sale ads on here but not seen anything recently that would be within my budget (only up to £1k as we're about to have a £150k oak extension built) or that she would like, I know she's been looking at De Ville's (ipad history) so started looking there, then thought something from her birth year would be good, she would also prefer something that's not round based on her past/present choices.

So bearing all that in mind and as I good starting point I've been looking on chrono24 and have come up with the watches below, all comments and advice greatly received and of course if you have a nice original 1977 ladies watch that you're thinking of selling please let me know.

I've listed them in my preferred order but it's more important to me that it's as near to original as possible.

The serial number puts it in the right time period but couldn't locate the model number on the omega vintage database, also note the comments about gold plating being re-done and the refinished dial

Her birthday is on the 15th April so got a bit of time yet

Found the seamaster linked above on the omega vintage database.

Now according to the info there it's got the correct calibre number but it says it has a stainless steel case but the one in the ad is gold plated.

Does that mean it's been plated after or a different case or that it was an option or that the database is wrong?

Been doing a lot more knowledge gathering and checking of potential watches

Been looking everywhere and found a nice 1977 seamaster, contacted the dealer & got a reply almost immediately, even though it was late last night, but unfortunately it had been sold

Thought I'd do some more checking on the dealer and found a post on here from 2012 mentioning the exact same reply I'd had about 5000 emails a day blah blah

Then received another email with pictures of another 1977 seamaster that had just come in, but after reading many posts on here and taking in comments on dodgy dials something about the quality of the dial didn't seem right. Had a look on the omega database but couldn't find it but after some more searching I did

Unfortunately it's now got a blue dial

You definitely need to keep your wits about you but getting concerned I'm running out of time to find something nice
