Help me with a mechanism part

Hello,

I own a 1968 Seamaster Cosmic Ref. ST 166.0045-Tool 107. The problem is that the dial keeps moving and needs to be reset straight at some point.

My watch maker says that it is because there was a blue elastic part that is missing due to ... being vintage. He does not have one to replace it or can source one.

Anyone knows what is the replacement part reference or name ... or any pointers what am I looking for ?

Cheers

I suspect the part you need is shown in the “exploded” view of a Seamaster Cosmic. I think the part you need is the white plastic spacer shown in the upper left of the picture in the link. If so, confirm it, and maybe someone can help you track down the part.

Completely wrong watch...so the part you have pointed out won't help.

What you need is called a wedge - part number is 0920001BL.

It's not the dial that is rotating, it is the entire movement. This wedge goes into the case over the movement portion of the stem.

Does the Dynamic use the same or similar part?
