Help me with identifiing pocketwatch

Hello, i just got this old watches and found that they might have some value, but i dont know much about them so i am looking for help here.
I will be glad for every help with identification, what value they have or everything else about them.


I think they are made of silver but am not sure. I did some research and by the number on the movememt i found out they should be made in year 1920, but not sure. I also measured them and the outer diameter is 51mm and crystal diameter is 42mm

lots and lots made...and not Silver but a nickel composition

A very nice, solid workingman's watch the next step up from a Dollar Watch back then

Cool Moon hands

Dropped at one time resulting in the fracture line

If it can be sold with that fracture, the low jewel count, and non precious case, maybe $50 USD

Solid daily wearer if you are so inclined

Hoped that i could make few hundred bucks on them.
Anyway, thanks. But ill still hope that someone will tell me they are worth at least a little more.
Kinda surprised about that 104 years ago when my ancestors bought them they were probably more expensive than now, hah 😁

I think @TexOmega is not far off on his valuation, I have one from circa. 1916, which has a German silver case with a pink gold gallone finish and nice engraving, the dial is uncracked and it is in overall excellent condition, I think I paid around €200. Unfortunately these are neither rare nor desirable, hence the low value. It’s a nice thing to have to appreciate but if it’s not for you stick it on eBay for whatever you think, that will tell you it’s real value quick enough.

Well, at least i got to try sell it for some money. I ve been polishing them for like good 3 days and even bought new crystal so i hope someone like me who knows nothing about it could pay something hahaha

Unfortunately, that big crack is in a bad location because it's very noticeable. Put it on eBay in a no reserve auction and someone will take it off your hands.

You know this sounds perilously close to taking advantage of others' ignorance.

We've all made purchases in ignorance. Don't deliberately continue the cycle of ignorance for personal gain.

Due to no one actually using them anymore, sadly pocket watches are generally valued on their case metal these days unless very desirable with features such as Tourbillon or other complications. This one is probably base metal or perhaps silver so the estimate above in the mid to high tens of dollars range sounds sensible to me. Particularly considering the dial damage which is pretty severe.

Pocket watches are cool to carry and use as intended around these parts of the Frontier. Not often but I consistently wear PWS's using a @Duracuir1 or @DaveK custom lanyard.😀

OK Tex, fair enough, mostly no one uses one day to day. I have nearly a dozen myself (including an Omega). I don't wear them much since a waistcoat is not my top cover of choice!

That small pocket on your Levi jeans are for pocket watches....lanyard attaches to belt.👍😎

Most traditionally cut jeans retain the feature of the dedicated watch pocket, Wranglers certainly do, as do moleskin trousers from the likes of RM Williams and Thomas Cook amongst others and yes in these circumstances you use the watch with a lanyard attached to the belt, Indeed it is the height of casual sartorial elegance!

What we call in Oz....Cocky killers, pointed toes so as you can kill the cockroaches that scurry off into the corners

Those are not sharp pointed toes.🤦 I’ll post vintage cockroach killers in a day or two.

But I’m happy y’all like them.
