·I’ve had this dial in my drawer for over 10 years. Bought it on eBay as original Angelus 217 dial because I liked the look and felt I might use it one day. But something really weird is that the date track is not on the outside. I cannot find another Chronodato anywhere that doesn’t have the date track on the outside. What actually is this dial? If it were a redial they surely would have copied an existing design and made the date print match the date hand pointer.
Also, there is no SWISS print and no ‘Chronodato’ below the Angelus logo.
I’m wondering if it is some sort of factory prototype? Would be grateful for any insight!
