I just bought this 1940's Omega and can't find anything about the specific reference online. Does anyone know what year this came out? Ive found 2438-2 and 2834-4 but not 2438-1.

Thanks for your help in advance! Hope everyone is staying happy and safe.

The serial number dates it to approximately 1944. The reference is 2438, "-1" is just the production run. The dial appears to be repainted.

It has a redial unfortunately. The Omega logo and fonts are wrong for that period.

    +1 for redial

Looking at the inner caseback it seems a service could be overdue

It's not exact, but it has sort of a 70s or 80s vibe to me.
