路I was recently shown a photo of one of my grandpa's old omegas, and from the brief research that I've done I have found a few things, but I couldn't find the specific exact model.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen the watch in person and the photo is the only source I have, but from what I can make out it seems that the dial says that it is a Speedmaster mark III. However, upon doing further research it seems that no speedmaster mark III comes in this case shape. Instead, it looks like a Speedmaster mark III dial (with the exception that the subdial at 9 is dark-colored instead of light) and the case and bracelet are a Speedmaster 125. I have attached both a photo of the mark III dial that I am talking about and the 125 cases and bracelet.
My Grandpas Watch:
Speedmaster Mark III (9:00 subdial is light here and dark on my grandpa's):
Speedmaster 125 (case looks identical to my grandpa's):
As you can tell, my knowledge is lacking in this area so this is why I've come to this forum for help. At the end of the day, I'm just trying to learn more about my grandpa's watch, what specific model it is and whether it is fake or not, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
