Help: I want to buy a Omega Speedmaster 145.0022

Hi all,
I would like to know if the following Speedy is worth it to spend some money. I could have it for 2500 Swiss Francs which looks like a good price according to the current market situation.
I do have some doubts regarding the box (I don't know this box I guess it's a replacement from another model) and about the screwed in searial number on the case. Or was this normal back then? I couldn't find any information about it. The braclet is a 1171 I guess am I right?
According to my finding in my Moonwatch only book it's a Speedy from 1983 with all original parts. I would be happy if somebody could give me a feedback if the watch is worth to buy or not. Please also let me know if I have something missed or overseen or if there is something I do have to consider.
Cheers,
Tobi

Price is nice and low. Hard to judge the lume on the hands with these pics (are they replacement hands with superlum?). Bezel has seen better days, so I would guess crystal has been replaced or it would likely have matching scratches/ battlescars. lugs on case seem a bit polished, but caseback looks decent. Any pics of the case sides?

Also, any photos with the chrono not running, to check for chrono creep? I suspect a full service will be in order (movement pics would help).

Hi BlackTalon,
Thanks for the feedback. Actually I have no additonal photos from the case sides. Can you please advice what is a chrono creep? The seller says that he inherit the watch and has no clue if there was ever a service. For 2500 I can't loose any money I guess...

Hello Tobi, is the a F2F transaction? Have you seen the watch in person?
If this is anything other than a F2F transaction, I would say that the price is in "Too good to be true" territory...

Good price.

Mid 80’s piece is my guess.

I’d just check the lume. The hands should be tritium and after being exposed to light should not stay brightly lit for more then 15 seconds. Same with the dial.

I’d assume a service is needed. @650 usd

Unless you're dealing with a reputable dealer, or a seller with bullet-proof references, I would only opt for a F2F transaction on this deal.
As I commented previously, price is in the "Too good to be true" territory... At least $1,000 (or CHF) under current market price.

For 2500 I can't loose any money I guess...

Ummm, yeah... You can actually lose 2,500 CHF...

Nice watch, my birthyear, would jump on it but have a question.
Why are dots at 12 so close to index?

Chronocreep heisst vereifacht gseit, dass de Sekundezeiger nid genau uf Null zruggsetzt. Gruess us dr YB-Stadt 😉

Nein sekundenzeiger aber stunde chrono zeiger.

Chrono creep.....when you reset chronograph all hands need to go to 12 position. When there is problem, hour chrono hand will not go straight on 12oclock marker

No creep is when the hour recorder very slowly moves when the chrono is not running. It can move as slowly as an hour a month.

Reset to zero failure is a different issue.
