Looks like a good watch, but not a collector watch. Depends on what your intended use for the watch is, but for something to wear and not worry about I think it serves that purpose fine.

Yes its something to wear daily in an office environment. I dont want to spend anymore money if i should get it fixed or have issues with. But i wouldnt resale as a collectors piece since the 2nd hand is wrong. Not sure if i overspent or what. What do you all think??

Not an original watch, but it is an Omega. The dial is refinished as others have noted, case has had a little extra polishing, movement is a solid one. You may not know this yet, but being an automatic movement, it will need to be serviced on a regular basis, something like 3-5 year intervals. The second hand should be able to be replaced with something closer to original during a service. Crown if not original, which it probably is not, can also be replaced with a correct piece during service. So while cosmetically incorrect, but very nice, the internals look good and should serve for a long time.

I don't know how much it's worth in a collector's eye but for the average Joe I would say in the $400s ...

Welcome to the forum; you are in the right place.
My 2 cents:
I'm pretty new here too and my "noob tax" Omega was a black re-dialed ebay watch
Mine was much less money, but was not serviced, and I never loved it once I saw it in person.
Service is worth something assuming you trust the person who serviced it.
Eventually I bought an all-original black dialed replacement (with patina) here on the forum.
It's a watch I actually really love wearing. But YMMV

For comparison, the most recent black dialed watch sale on the forum was this:
https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-seamaster-ref-2892-1-with-cal-284.36478/#post-414946
(I'm not associated with the sale as buyer or seller, it's just a similar price to yours)

Also remember, you can buy from forum members immediately. Assuming they accept you as a buyer, referenced or contribution to the forum. Just PM the seller and see what happens. Many fine members here that do not take advantage of anyone. They tell it how it is. eBay or some such forum is fine if you do not mind taking a risk or know what you are looking for. And of course knowing how to judge the piece you are looking at. Lots of good help here. Read the stickies at the beginning of each forum and participate. And do some homework on each piece you present here. Great place to learn.

thanks novina. I got this response from the seller "
danielaib12:

Lace is new dial is after renovation ,everything was described in the auction ,as of no interest please cancel transacion ,I have a buyer"

I plainly ask about explaining what lace meant and the 2nd hand is not original in that watch. Talk about getting offended

I'm late to the party.

To the OP, did you do a detailed check of the sellers feedback history?
Did you monitor the bids and bidder history during the auction?

I know it's a bit late now but I would not have bought from this seller.

As to going back with questions after the close of the auction I would be a bit peeved, on the other hand the description seems to have been written by a student of German after a night on the vodka.

You've been offered an out by the seller, I'd strongly suggest that you take it.

"Help! I Just Purchased My 1ST Omega Watch On eBay" is your title,
may I recommend.......
"Help! I Just Want to Purchase My 1ST Omega Watch On Ebay or Preferably, Omegaforums!"

Good black dials are getting scarcer and scarcer since Draper, decide if you are a collector that requires all-original or an enthusiast that wouldn't mind a repaint.

Original will appreciate.....
Repaint will depreciate.......... if you show it to someone knowledgeable enough to appreciate it being an Omega, you will worry about them being knowledgeable enough to notice the copy.

You will always know that it's a copy, the irregular minute track is a dead give-a-way that will draw your attention more and more as time goes by and you become more discerning..

It's worth what you bid unfortunately. Not paying could result in a black mark against you, but I don't pay much attention to Ebay's new rules.

If you haven't paid. Don't. Point out that 3 of the bidders appear to be shills as they have only bid on your watches, but fact is. You outbid them to buy the watch.

Pay or not. It's your decision to make

DON

This whole thread is ::facepalm1:: just take your ebay black mark and move on. One of my friends is so indecisive regarding watch purchases, he went back and forth for 2 weeks on a G-Shock. The irony is that he's a multi-millionaire and a few hundred bucks either way aren't a hit to his net worth. Just make your choice and move on.

What is there to debate? Normally if you make a bid, and win, you are morally bound to honour it.

However the seller has give you an out, so take it, accept it as a cheap lesson and move on.

As it happens I also bought a black face franken from Ebay so we should form a club!
