looked on database but cant find it. think its circa 1947.
I inherited some watches link below I have identified the newer ones but I'm struggling with the older ones.

unfortunately no entry in the Omega database for this reference 2395...

Seems to have a Cal 28 (later 360) and watch looks all original.

No, it is definitely not a cal. 265! it is a cal. 28 or 360 (as it was called later with new Omega movement nomenclature) as I already stated in my first reply.

Look a bit more closely - the bridges are different - and compare ratchet and crown wheels...

And there is a much wider bevel on the edge of the movement!

 

I hope I didn't appear to be contradicting what you said. Having looked at the two images again, I don't see the differences you are referring to. But anyway, let's call you correct, and me wrong!

The Omega 28 (according to the Ranfft archive) has an indirect sweep seconds feature.

Firstly I want to say that I do not make statements just for being right... and I do not like to blame others to be wrong...

But as you don´t believe me I want to show you how many more differences there are between the 2 movements - I have mounted the 2 pictures side by side in the same orientation and have marked the differences of cal. 28 (360) with red arrows:




1) different position of the click
2) ratchet and crown wheels have a bevel on the edge and polished teeth in this area
3) different movement holding screws (domed vs flat at the Cal. 30 family movements) plus other position to one of the bridge screws
4) different position of the serial number
5) different angle at this point of the bridge
6) different position of these 3 jewels
7) no shock protector
8) much wider bevel on the edge of the movement

Are these enough differences?

well it says 17 on the movement. Where do you see 15?

The 28 cal has a bevel around the edge of the movement. It isalso 28mm.
