Sorry, I can't tell as much from a photo as you can looking at it directly. If you are implying that it is worn, then no I'm not going to tell you to buy a clasp immediately. If this "clipping" over the tube is what is supposed to hold this closed, is a piss poor design frankly.

But before you get a new clasp, if you can bend this part, you may be able to restore friction by creating more interference between the tube and this slot. Unclear which way to bend it at this time, but my gut tells me you should put more curve in it, so bend it in the direction it is already curved, and see of that helps. This is sort of the same idea as the old flimsy Rolex claps...

Yes, That’s the only place there’s friction and why I was asking about the wear on that pin/tube.
I don’t think bending that thin piece of titanium will go all that well so I may just have to live with it.

I sent TI one back to Omega UK for full service some 6 years ago. It had loose extension too. They did the work. Got watch back. First time I wore the watch the extension snapped exactly at that curved section. My thinking is that they did what was suggested when refurbing. I was extremely annoyed. Returned watch. Got new bracelet clasp FOC, free service for next time, 3 Omega pens, diary, Olympic book, and a profuse apology.

I had the same issue - since the only other alternative seemed to be to buy a new clasp, and I decided to take a set of pliers to solve the problem.

The piece of titanium that has the little catch on the driver's extension has a small curve in it. I removed the pin to release it from the rest of the bracelet and use a large set of pliers just flat on that piece, reducing the curve ever so slightly.

Seems to have worked and it's now not releasing every time I put it on or take it off.

Certainly can't recommend that for anyone with a new watch, but it seemed like I had little to loose.

Congratulations on that working for you. I had thought Titanium was too brittle for that to work. We’ll see if I can get the nerve to try it!

Omega has a price tag like an airplane. Maybe someone has an unclaimed one in their desk. Just this part. Not a one-piece clasp.

Yes, Ti parts are expensive, but you have to pay to play.

You might want to post a WTB thread in that section, and include the clasp number in your post.

Welded maybe, but even if you could, would you risk losing the watch for this repair? I wouldn't.

Oh, No!
I ended up getting a new clasp when it went in for Omega service. They did a beautiful job restoring the titanium bracelet finish.

Here is the result . I will not say that it is beautiful, but it holds .

I would call that pretty ugly actually. But hopefully it holds.

But now we know for sure that it can be soldered.

Soldered, or welded? There's a difference. Based on the HAZ that looks like a weld to me...
