Help correctly identifying any 145.022 Speedy

When considering a vintage Speedy should the inside of the case back be correct to the serial number?
As an example: If the serial number dates the watch to 1969 shouldn't the case back read 145.022-69?

No, the reference number doesn't specify the actual production year. The 145.022-69 was made for several years. The ilovemyspeedmaster site can be helpful in identifying the likely production date and reference number for a given serial number.
