Help, can you identify this old Omega Constellation?

Morning all,

I am hoping your collective expertise may help my identify an Omega Constellation I have in my possession.

The watch is a quartz, and was my grandfathers. I know it is at least 20 years old but I have no boxes/documentation for it. I have a feeling the bracelet is not original, as it is an expandable and has no Omega markings on it.

It was refurbed/restored about 8 years by Omega, but alas, we have no paperwork for it (my wife sent it off as a surprise birthday present and several house moves since have meant there is no paper trail).

I cannot get the caseback off to find a serial number etc, therefore I am hoping the pics below may be enough for someone to identify what model it is, how rare/collectible it may or may not be, and any other information that may be relevant.

I look forward to any and all comments.

Many thanks,

Max

It is not rare and not collectible (almost all Omega quartz are not).

Thank you! That looks like the one! That reference number does seem to ring a bell for some reason (may have seen it on some paperwork since lost). I guess I was right about the bracelet then!

As mentioned, its a bit of an heirloom and as such has way more sentimental value than monetary so I'm not bothered about it being a collectors item or anything, but it's good. To know a bit more about it! Cheers!

Glad it helped. Totally agree, heirloom must be cherished far about its economic value.

Hi all,

I am now looking for a replacement strap for the above watch. I want to switch it out of the expandable metal bracelet and put it on leather so it's not only closer to original but slightly dressier.

I'll probably be looking for leather alligator in either black or dark brown. Measuring the lugs it appears to be 21mm. Anyone have any suggestions for strap options? Not looking at going OEM. Just a decent aftermarket that looks true to the original look.

Many thanks.

I just measured it with a tape measure and it looks like 21mm so hardly a conclusive measurement!

Congrats on your purchase!

Mine is a little bigger in diameter, 38, as I say I haven't got it yet, I just saw the pictures on ebay and noticed they had put a 20mm strap on it.
