Help and opinion on online vintage Omega

Hi

I am new to this forum (first post) but have been reading it for a while. I want to start collecting some Omega watches and find this site a goldmine of information. I'm not necessarily looking for watches that will appreciate in value with the aim of selling them, although it won't hurt if it does. I want to buy watches that I like and want to keep and wear regularly.

I have found the watch below on an online forum. It is advertised as a caliber 30T2 from ca 1944. It looks to be a military style design. Is it fake? If not, which model is it? Apart from the strap, does the other components look authentic?

I'd appreciate your opinions, including condition and what one should expect to pay for a watch like this.

Thanks a lot in advance.
Cobus

BTW, sorry for the quality of the photos, it's from the online site.

Cobus welcome to the forum. Do you have pictures of the inside of the back cover, this will help.

I see there is no "Swiss made" marking on the dial, is that telling / important?

The watch looks good and original (from what is presented)

If you don´t dislike the patina ...

I like it. It is the small or large cased model?. Obviously the ones that wear bigger are more desirable.

35mm without the crown is pretty large for that era. I think the T2 cases go up to about 38mm
