Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I literally cannot find any decent 19mm leather straps for my Ed White. I like the distressed two piece leather straps like you see on Hodinkee but they don't do them in 19mm. So does anyone know of a decent strap site that has considered the 19mm Speedy owner?

Reach out to Aaron Pimental at Combat Straps, or Two Stitch Straps, Heuerville of course (but 12-14week delivery) but awesome straps. There are many strap options out there, but these are ones I have personal experiences with. Below is the one I just received from Aaron yesterday!

Check out Threaded Leather Co. Quite incredible leather straps, and he will custom make a 19mm. He uses all Horween leather for his straps, which if you're not a leather freak, definitely should be what you're looking for imo. One of the oldest and best leather tanneries in the US, if not the world. Super nice guy too.

Here's my '74 speedy pro on the 20mm I got from him.

Can't hurt to keep it in-house. Have anywhere we can see more of your stuff, @jankoxxx? Like I said above, love my threaded leather, but would love even more to give future business to a OF member.

I got mine from GLC straps, Massimiliano is a great guy and you will find what you want there in a 19mm. He also posts on the vintage Rolex forum market.

Nice Ed White! I actually wear mine on a brown FOIS strap, which is also 19mm and looks good on it - will send a photo when I get home.

Depending on where you are (I'm in the UK), you want to look at these - I've also bought spare straps from these guys - first in white stitched black leather (from the UK) and the other in vintage brown (Germany)

If you are more into the classic style http://glcstraps.it/shop/?filter_modello=racing , here is a suggestion. Besides that they have a lot more, 19 mm available for almost every strap. I bought 3 there already, absolutely nice!

+1 for jankoxx (@gdupree , his store is at https://www.watchstrapheaven.com/about), and +1 also for GLC straps.

You can also check out Bulang and Sons, Molequin, and Bas & Lokes - they all have 19mm straps. The latter 2 will also custom-make straps, as will Jankoxx and GLC.

Bulang and Sons makes 19mm straps. I use a few of them on my Camaro, such as this one:

Omega makes 19mm straps in both tang and deploy style that would fit your Ed White. The FOIS strap will pair well, the CK2998 strap if your bezel is starting to blue itself could be a striking pairing, and they also have cordura and alligator options that can used with 16mm or 18mm Omega clasps.

Also, to OP, i really don't think it would be hard at all to squeeze a 20mm strap into the vintage 19mm slot. leather compresses, or could be manually sliver off .5mm from each side if you were ocd. That what I would do, given the plethora of easily orderable 20mm straps.

Nothing will happen to the bracelet with normal, daily use and an occasional cleaning. What are you saving it for - posterity, your kids, until the price cracks 10 grand?

Google Rios1931 watch straps. I just bought three from the US Authorized dealer that will pop up in the search. They have several 19mm straps. All are very good quality and nicely priced. The Russian leather ones are very supple and break in very fast. After 1 day they feel as comfortable as if I'd been wearing it a month.

Just to keep it nice... I do have a number of straps for my other watches and I regularly switch them round. Variety is the spice of life! Thanks to all you good people I now have a few for the Ed White too... one from Bulang and Sons and another from Heuerville (well, i will in about 14 weeks!)
