I suppose I should say hi, after being mostly a lurker for a while now....

I am a watch collector and big Omega fan. Omega is probably my favorite watch brand, all things considered. I own 8 right now, including several Speedy reduced, a full sized Sapphire Sandwich, and a couple modern Seamasters. I suppose I may be in the minority, but I really like the speedmaster reduced, and find they are not a replacement for the full size moon watch, but rather a nice alternate version and a fun platform for color, etc. Especially the Schumacher versions. Here's what I have today:

All in, I own a couple hundred watches, from around 30 different manufactures, ranging in price from two figures to well over five figures, USD. I like to think my watch taste has quite a bit of range. I also have a soft spot for vintage Seiko and Citizen watches - and think I will likely end up over the deep end in vintage Omega at some point in the future... likely starting with a Flightmaster

Hope to contribute and make some more connections here over time.

... unless anyone considers these to be Omegas... I think of them as 95% swatch, but still love them all - the dodgy-er the colors the better!

Firstly, hello from the UK. Secondly, 200 watches?! Do you wear them all? More pics needed!

Is there just one WRUW thread here, or a new one each day? It's pretty easy to end up with hundreds of watches, when you start collecting old Seikos.... Here are some of Bell-matics, 1966 through 1978, posted in another thread here yesterday:

And some of my World Timers, 1964 - 1976

While on Seiko, here's a random pile of projects.

And no, I don't wear all of them, but I do wear many of them. I have quite a few modern watches that compete for wrist time. Here's a recently acquisition, and my only Longines, an Avigator reissue, 1 of only 100 made:

This isn’t WUS where there is a newly created WRUW thread every day based on brand, style, and price range ;)

Just the one main WRUW thread here and the occasional what UG are you wearing.

I have a two tone Speedmaster reduced that I have enjoyed for some time now. Unfortunately the chronograph just stopped working. It keeps time but the running seconds seems to lag around 11-12 o’clock. Looks like time for a service…

I've bought 7 Seikos this year from a 6105-8000 to some recent Seiko 5s. I thought I was getting out of hand. Clearly, I'm barely started in comparison, lol.

You have a great collection - would love to see any other Seiko references you are fond of.

@Dsloan there are a lot of Seikos to love, from just about every era IMO. The mechanical World Timers and Bellmatics are obviously high on my list. I also really like the early calculator watches they put out in the late 70's and early 80's:

On the eclectic side, I love the contra:

These Flightmaster GMT's from the 90's also really do it for me:

As do these ANA special editions:

Then there is the line of quartz alarms that replaced the bell-matics:

Hmmm, how about the new Time Sonar re-editions, and of course you could go chasing some very cool originals too

In the world time lineage, I also like the digitals

.. as well as some very cool oddities from around the year 2000

And back to vintage mechanicals, I also enjoy many of the early divers, and some 6139's in this box

I think that is about 1/2 of my Seiko watches. If you like vintage/mechanical Seiko, there are some real treats in the vintage Citizen watches as well...

@dapellegrini! I have never seen a contra in even close to that condition before. Amazing!

Your collection is making me want to keep exploring the seemingly endless corridors of the Seiko universe.

May I ask, where'd you get that rally-style bracelet on one of your Time Sonar re-editions? I have been buying too many vintage and new Seiko 5s lately, and that looks like a fun bracelet option.

I'm also super impressed by the bracelets on many of your pieces. I feel like one the hardest parts of vintage Seiko is sourcing OEM bracelets, especially on early divers and world timers.

At the same time, you could start a new thread, eg WSRUW, and who knows what could happen. You could keep it going for a year all by yourself! There really isn't any right or wrong.

    Sharing is caring :D

...and this one is from the mid or late 90's so technically not "modern", put perhaps not quite neo-vintage either...
