Good evening from germany,
I would like to post a WTB thread in the sales corner but it Sems that I have not enough permission to do do this.
Maybe I need some help or input from the audience or some of the Mods.
Thanks in advance an have a nice evening.
Best regards Stefan

see the rules, you need at least 200 posts.

More than likely the watch you want is already for sale somewhere. Try using watchrecon.com and watchpatrol.net to see if somebody is currently selling it

He didn’t need 200 in 2013 when he last posted a WTB thread.

New 200 post rule bought in a few years ago.

@nicispapa Been a while Stefan 😉

Agree.
I thought it was going to take me a couple of years to get 200 posts but it is more do-able than I originally thought.
I didn't realize there was such a diverse set of topics available on the forum.

at your current pace of 20 posts in 7 years (2.86 posts/year), it will take you approximately 63 years for the additional 180 posts you will need 😁

that is some respectable patience and if it’s only to request an old constellation crown, my admiration increases.

while I understand the 200 post requirement for items being sold, perhaps it’s not as necessary for WTB posts. I could be selling said crown and a member who has one post could PM me and offer to buy it. The risk is on me but that’s always the case. Maybe the exception could be that members can post WTB posts for non-watch items (parts only). If a member is seeking a spare crystal it’s not the same as seeking a whole watch. Many sellers may have some spare parts that they don’t bother to list but might part with it if a member needed one. Just an idea.

Just an idea.
I fully agree but unfortunately I don’t thinks it’s that simple. I have to imagine pages like selling and want to buy have global filters (ie x amount of posts to be reached first) vs specific/localized filters (ie you can post about x, x, x, x, and x, x, x but not y, ab, xy, d and so on times infinite). The filter creating would be endless and there would always be loop holes/people prevented causing more disruption. The amount of work to go into navigating all the tiny aspects of what each person coming to this forum could want to buy and creating very fine tuned specific filters that block/allow the most subtle of word choices is unfathomable. I wouldn’t wish that task on even my worst enemy. In a perfect world, however, I agree with your sentiment.

edited to add: basically, if they were to allow one exception to the rule, the would have to create a rule for literally every single restriction as the forum base structure can’t logically understand/differentiate “200 post rule *except* ” kind of thinking.
