I’m just going to start sleeping right through the 11th of every month to avoid that abomination.

Kinda looks like the photo has been edited. The beveled edges of the date window at the bottom right have a blue haze overlaying it (the hard edge of the date window disappears). Like something has been poorly masked in. The vertical line of the one on the right also isn’t straight, but looks slightly stepped in a way… as opposed to the one on the left that appears significantly straighter.

With my worn out old eyes, bloody date windows are too small to be any use to me....so I couldn't care less.....what I can't see won't trouble me!

Why did I click on this thread ::facepalm1::. As a relatively new SMP 300M owner this is aggravating my OCD. I'm still trying to deal with the thread about double anti-reflective treatment. I have a call into my therapist. 😁😁😁

It’s why I prefer no-date watches, can’t see the damn thing anyway, don’t need my watch reminding me that my 20/20 vision got the wrong change back.

You’ll just need to stay awake for an entire month to see all the dates cycle through. After that, you can just relax and enjoy your watch 👍

Lol, I saw this blowing up on reddit yesterday. There were dozens of people popping up to say they see the same issue, but I couldn't tell if it was just an issue of perspective with how people were taking pics.

Instead of staying awake for an entire month, I performed a "date delete." A little painters tape works like a charm.

Glaucoma does that too without investing in tape.

I saw this yesterday also, glad my olde worlde Seamaster’s 11 date is OK.

Are the 2s on the 22nd similar?

Bigger worry would be if your watch had a 33rd! Matching or not!

Comments in the Reddit thread have already pretty much covered it but it looks to just be a quirk of how individual digits are all printed aligned to the centre of the watch, not each other. Seems most obvious on the 11.

Apologies to any current gen Seamaster owners with OCD, but... the numbers on the bezel are done the same way. 😜
