Happy Good Friday and Easter to those who celebrate

I had to work today drove by a church in the smallish city I spend most of my time in and there was a procession of about 150 people led by some clergy. I couldn’t help but notice they had a police escort, just a sign of the world we live in these people were just quietly celebrating their belief. I do have faith but Covid made it difficult to practice for a while it’s nice to see things getting back to somewhat “normal”. I personally find knowledge and enlightenment in all religions and have no issues with atheists we are all on our own journey I guess in that regard but when I saw the procession the meaning of the day kind of hit me so I just joined in for a little bit but I had numerous things to do so it was brief.

Anyway hope it’s a good one for all whatever your belief or non belief is. I hope it’s not improper to say all that if it is I shall of course take no offense if it needs to be deleted I find our language and rules of etiquette change faster than I can keep up with at times.

Thanks for the Easter wishes. That was a very nice post; for all of us, irrespective of Faith, it’s important to take time for reflection. I’m looking forward to spending the day with my elderly parents while my wife brings the kids to visit her father.

Thanks for the kind words. I am looking forward to spending time with my closest friends and chosen family this weekend. Most of our immediate biological families are out of state and across the country so we get together on major holiday, usually in a sort of non-denominational and inclusive fashion. Our spring time celebration has for a long time been to do a crawfish bowl. We haven’t been able to gather the last couple of years and over that time we’ve all scattered a bit. So this year is going to be pretty special.

Happy Easter, Passover, and Ramadan.

every 33 years or so all the Abrahamic religions share these days.
