One of a handful of TV " Celebrities" who actually deserves the Knighthood he received, He also has the accolade of being one of a very very few who have been honoured twice. Happy 100th Sir David Attenborough

In a time when protecting nature and leaving at least some natural environments free from human interference is seen as a burden and when environmental standards is the first to go, when we want to speed up projects and make stuff cheaper, people like DA are more important than ever before.

One documentry I would love to find again was a lecture on to the Royal Society on the 'Tricks of our trade.' This was one of the first streaming videos I watched. I never could figure out how to download a copy locally. Still have the bookmark , which re directs to something irrelevant.
I did track back to the page where the lecture was listed
https://web.archive.org/web/20050116165752/http://www.royalsociety.org/page.asp?id=1110
Sadly this leads to a page deleted re-direct Since Real player no longer exists.

Now I have the title and can search which finally I can watch it again

So Happy birthday David.

Not to take anything away I was a big fan of Brother Richard, who was the most amazing actor. Did Song and Dance in Dr Doolittle then heavy drama in Sand Pebbles. But will always be remembered for the psuedo documentry Jurasic Park. Amazing set of brothers. (who would often get mixed up.)

His documentaries still hold up today and he had a way which paints a picture with the commentary. This richness gets lost in today's day and age with all the cgi and technology where the story telling makes it compelling.

Truly inspirational human being, 100 years old and still educating us, quite extraordinary.
His immune system must off the scale.
